Ammonium-free calcium nitrate is a source of calcium for use in fertilizer solutions in the agricultural and (greenhouse) horticultural sector. Ammonium lowers pH, and this composition is virtually ammonium free.
Calcium improves the rigidity of the cell walls and is a building block for cell membranes. Every plant needs calcium for healthy growth. Nitrogen is the driving force behind fertilisation. Nitrogen promotes plant growth and photosynthesis. Nitrogen also postpones the ageing process.
